COMPATABLE WITH

As a honour to Lord Nelson of Trafalger fame (October 1805), a special locomotive we commissioned, the Lord Nelson class. This class of loco designed by Maundsell introduced in the mid twenties and withdrawn around the early 60's. A class of 16 locos were built between 1928 and 1929, and was used for express passenger sevice, There were many changes to the loco, including larger chimney and smoke deflectors, larger boiler and firebox. The class, like most UK steam locos underwent many colour changes, 3 within the Southern Region, one during WWII and 3 after under BR guise, the one depicted is late BR Malachite without smoke deflectors. You may specify with/without smoke deflectors and the colour/livery required as well as the second name/number.
